The episode begins off in the small village outside of Hage Village in the Forsaken Realm, called Britannia Village. As seen it was already the night time.
At the Shimura residence, Tony, as he was only eight years old and he was sitting with his mother, who was a former Magic Knight of the Black Bulls and the originator behind the Lightning Creation Magic, Lily Shimura.
They can be seen sitting down at the front porch, on a little steel bench.
Tony was so fixated on the beautiful and starry night sky, as he smiled. Then, he looks at his mother with the excited smile on his face.
"Mommy! The sky looks beautiful tonight!" He exclaimed as his eyes lit up in total excitement and happiness.
Lily looked down at her son and she nods, as she smiles back at him.
"I agree with you, sweetheart...Hey, sweetheart?"
"Yes, mommy?" Tony blinks and kept the smile on his face. He wondered on what his mother was gonna say or wanted from him.
Lily would take a moment to look back at the stars in the sky and then, back at Tony and places a hand over his head.
"Son, if there ever was a dream you want to accomplish someday...What would it be? What kind of person would you wanna be?" She asked.
Tony thought of it for a moment and he knows he grew up in a family full of magic knights. Even his mom, dad, and two people who are currently magic knights. He couldn't remember those two people all that well. Because it's been only a few years.He smiled and answers to his mother.
"I want to become a Magic Knight, mommy...Be the kind of magic knight will save people, no matter what the cause! Make everyone happy and save as much as people I can!" Tony enthusiastically said and this was his dream from the beginning.
Lily wasn't surprised by that answer and she was okay with it. The way he spoke of it, reminds her of how her husband, Kaito spoke about when they were young. She smiled and hugs him, as she seemed to shed a tear.
"I see. Well, sweetie...You have Momma's support, all the way. My little future Magic Knight~" She said as she let's go of the hug and pat him on the head once again, giving her son an assuring smile.
"I will do my best, mommy!" Tony said with excitement and he hugs her back, as he looks up at her.
"I know you will." Lily simply responded back and embraces the hug from his son.
During the hug, Lily looks up at the sky and thinks in her mind.
"I hope Kaito is watching...We have ourselves a future Magic Knight in our eyes." Lily thought in her mind.
The scene goes into white. Only about seven years later following this time, Tony was only 15, at this time. A few voices can be heard in the background.
"Is he awake...?"
It appears to be a young female's voice, but it was a higher-pitched type of voice. She had
A sigh can be heard too, as a male would then speak out in a annoyed tone of voice. "Can't I just punch him in the--"
"No, you can't do that, Nakato!" The female said, cutting him off mid-sentence.
"C'mon, let's go Sumire. We're gonna be late for the grimoire acceptance ceremony..." Another female spoke out to the purple-haired girl. She didn't want to be around that hot-head Nakato or that "troublesome" boy, Tony..
Nakato sighed heavily and takes a bucket, as he fills it up with water.
"Nakato! Don't do---"
The sound of water can be heard and Tony gets splashed at, as he wakes up with his eyes slightly closed. The background fades out.
"Well, he had it coming..."
"U-Ugh...Who woke me--" Tony asked, as he rubs his eyes and sees Sumire, Nakato, and Mai.
"U-Um, sorry about that Tony! Naka--"
Then, Tony looks at Sumire and Mai for a moment, but he looks at Nakato, who was holding the bucket that he used for water and waking him up with.
"...Your wake up call..." Nakato simply answered and puts the bucket back down where it belonged.
"Wake up call? Still, why did you do that for?! You could've just shaken me instead of just--!"
Tony exclaimed and was pretty annoyed, as he crosses his arms.
"Yes it is, idiot...Did you forget what today is?"
Mai asked, as she was even annoyed herself. But she was more annoyed at Tony and Nakato. Because they are the reason, that they may become late for the Grimoire Acceptance Ceremony.
"You didn't have to call him that, Mai..." Sumire said, defending for Tony.
Mai shrugged and had a remorseless look on her face. "I don't care. I just wanna go already..."
Tony had to think about it for a moment. He remembered what today was. "Oh, crap!!!! It's the Grimoire Acceptance Ceremony!!" He quickly jumps out of bed.
Nakato grunted at Tony, as he walks over to the door and opens it. He would look at Tony with an annoyed look on his face. "We'll wait for you...If you be long, we're leaving you behind..." He said, as he walks out of the room and heads outside from the Shimura residence.
"Hmph..." Mai flips her hair to the back side and she walks out after Nakato.
"Sorry about this, Tony..." Then, Sumire bowed as a way to apologize and runs out after Mai.
Tony watches his friends leave the room, as he would get dressed really fast. He shortly runs out and shouts out to his mother who was in the living room, looking at the newspaper.
"I'm off, Mom! Wish me luck in the Grimoire Acceptance Ceremony!"
"Okay, sweetheart! Good luck! Show them all whose the best!" Lily shouted back at him, before Tony had ran out of the door.
Tony had notably touched the family photo of him, his mother, his father, and two more people who was in the photo with them. He mainly touched his father's face in the photo before exiting.
"Look at our boy, Kai...He's about to make his first step into his journey...
...Into a Magic Knight..."
She said to herself, as she would look up at the large photo frame of the entire family together. As a quick highlight, the photo got a close-up of the two others in the family photo.

As Tony, Sumire, Nakato, and Mai can be seen running past through the village, as they head out to Hage Village for the Grimoire Acceptance Ceremony.
Meanwhile in Hage, it was Asta and Yuno's day off from the Clover Kingdom.
After these past five years both Asta and Yuno had grown to be the most fastest-rising magic knights, the Clover Kingdom has ever seen. Even both of them respectively became vice captains of their respective squads, between The Black Bulls and The Golden Dawn.
They were there for Nash to get his grimoire.
"If Asta and Yuno got this far of being Magic Knights. They are living proof of...Anything is possible....This is my time now!" Nash thought.
As spotted, there was yet another girl can be seen in a hoodie and covered up her face.
"I will get my grimoire and I will become a magic knight...Like no other!" She exclaimed in thought.
Then, in comes Tony, Sumire, Nakato, and Mai into the Grimoire Tower.
Tony and Nakato grinned big and he was so excited to get their grimoires.
"Here we go! My dream begins here! Magic Knights! Here I come!"
In a four-way split screen, shows both Tony and Nakato on opposite ends.
"Our journey begins here!" The four teenagers said at the same time.

The opening begins off with a number of grimoires going by in a circling around, as this specific one appears and the grimoire opens up.
As the grimoire opens up, a visual of the grimoire painting in the kingdoms, between the Spade, Heart, and Clover Kingdoms.
The next thing after it shows the kingdoms. The Black Clover: The Next Page title card appears, as it also shows the Episode Title that says "The Beginning of Our Journey" title name and on the top right side of the visuals says "Page 1"

The first scene can be seen with Tony Shimura standing at the front of his window in his home and he places a hand on the window, as his mother, Lily Shimura was standing behind him, painted in first.
Then, it transitions to also seeing Nakato Akachi, Sumire Maruyama, and Mai Chiharu together standing in the middle of town.
Next shot can be seen with the emblems of the Magic Knight Squads, in order from left to right, seeing the Coral Peacocks, Silver Eagles, Purple Orcas, Blue Rose Knights, Green Praying Mantises, Crimson Lion Kings, The Golden Dawn, and then finally The Black Bulls.

Next scene would show two people, and what it appears to be Asta and Yuno making their promise, by their signature fist bump.
Then, a shot can be seen with all of the Magic Knight Squad captains, left to right with Yami Sukehiro, William Vangeance, Nozel Silva, Jack the Ripper, Dorothy Unsworth, Rill Boismotier, Kaizer Granvorka, Charlotte Rosary, and Fuegoleon Vermillion standing side by side in the Wizard King Tower.
A quick scene can be shown with Julius Novochrono looking back at the captains with a smile on his face.
The following scene, would show three silhouettes that's standing in front of Tony and Lily Shimura. Tony had a very determined look on his face and he balls up his fists.
The emotions I found in the maze that blocked my view
Next would show Tony looking up with a dark and fogged up background, as a white silhouette. In the background, of the silhouette of Shimura, can be seen with Nakato in the background, standing in the light.
Then, it transitions over to seeing Nakato in a black silhouette with a light background, compared to the darkness side, looking down while Tony can be seen in the darkness. The scene would fade away.
As the previous scene was fading away, it briefly shows silhouettes of The Dark Order with their backs turned. But the three main members standing in the forefront of the group's faces were covered up.
A close-up shot can be seen with the leader smirking evilly.
A quick shot can be seen of Kaito Shimura with his back turned and walking away into the light.
Four more shots can be seen: with the first being Yami Sukehiro and William Vangeance walking past each other, the next being Roe Ket and Lily Shimura with their Black Bulls robes on, after can be seen with Asta and Yuno walking beside each other, and then Nakato Akachi walking away from a standing Tony Shimura.
Strong light that won't disturb anyone, Break down the wall
The Royal Knights being formed as Mereoleona Vermillion is standing in the forefront with the group, is the next scene.
The next scene can be seen with shown with Noelle Silva transforming into her Valkyrie Dress form, as as part of her Water Magic, in front of Nozel, Nebra, and Solid.
Following this would show Yuno in his Spirit Dive form and Asta with into his "Black Asta" form teaming up against Licht.
Then, a shot can be seen with Yuno, Asta, Lumiere, Secre, and Yami teaming against the Devil.
Finally, a quick shot back with Tony running after Nakato, as Nakato does look back at him with a smirk on his face. The scene fades out in the light transition.
The world is not over yet, a continuing story
The previous scene fades into seeing Tony and Nakato taking out some bad guys, with their fighting styles. Before they attempt to attack each other, but they attack the opposite opponents with their respective magic power.
Then, in the middle of it all, members of the Black Bulls and Golden Dawn, shows off their magic.
Most notably, Asta using his Black form to make attacks on some of those bad guys and Yuno using his Wind Magic to attack as well, then Noelle using her Valkyrie Dress and Luck using his full Lightning form. as well as Zora Ideale using his Trap and Ash Magic, and to end it off Yami Sukehiro performing a Dark Cloak: Lightless Slash. As it would transition to the next scene.
Now, open the closed door with this hand
Following the transition, Sumire Maruyama comes in and uses her offensive Flower Magic and then, in comes Nakato with his Flame Magic.
Then, Roe uses her shadow to get out of the way of the enemy's attack and then, it transitions to seeing Mereoleona and Fuegoleon delivering flame punches at the same time.
A ray of light for spilled tears
Then, two people can be seen standing on top of a building with Blue Rose Knights robes on, one of them with a smile on her face and the other with a blank look on her face

Following this scene, it shows Lily Shimura with a smile on her face and tears falling down from her face and she puts her hands together.
Back to the fight, Tony can be seen standing in front of someone and he would run past every Magic Knight fighting and he would jump in the air to go for a horizontial and vertical sword slash.
The clock's hands moving forward, The dignified voice echoes
Following the shot of Tony's sword slash. It would show Vangeance and Yami standing in the Wizard King's Castle in front of Julius.
Then, standing in the light is Kaito looking back with a smile on his face before he fades out into the light.
I won't let go of this hand that I grabbed in the future
As the final part of the visuals. Multiple shots can be seen but blurry, as it follows: The Dark Order leader grabbing someone. then Tony's sword on the ground, and someone's hand dropping to the ground, and then someone falling into water, as well as Tony looking back.
Then, the final shot shows Tony and Nakato walking away on opposite ends.

In the forest somewhere, Roe Ket can be seen trying to carry Kaito Shimura, who was bleeding by much and Kaito is trying to hold it with his shirt.
"Don't worry, Kai! We're almost there...You can't die on me!"
The Golden Dawn member couldn't speak because if he did, it would speed up his death. He coughed out more blood. "....Son....Girls....Lily....I'm sorry..." He thought in his mind.
As they were headed there, in the background can be seen with multiple people walking away.
Three main people, one of them had a sword in hand and the sword was dripping of blood.
The other was pretty tall and bulky, but he was very powerful.
The one in the middle was a female and her eyes were glowing, beaming in golden.
"Die, magic knight...You brought this upon yourself..." She simply thought in her mind, as she looks back at her troops and men. "Go...My lovelies, we'll catch up with you...Katsuke, Zero...You're staying with me..."
"Yes, ma'am!" Everyone vanishes away.
The evil female was smiling at how much the plan was working.
"You're next...Clover Kingdom..." She simply says.
